About us

The Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB) is made up of representatives from organisations including:

Nottinghamshire Police
Crown Prosecution Service
NHS
local councils
voluntary organisations.

Our main responsibility is to work together to help adults who may have been abused and to help prevent adults being abused. This ambition is progressed by working with partners to deliver our strategic aims outlined in the NSAB strategic plan 2022-25 [PDF].

We treat cases of suspected abuse extremely seriously and all of the organisations within the NSAB work closely together, using the same policies and procedures, to ensure that all adults are protected from abuse.

NSAB Partnership

The Safeguarding Partnership has been set up in addition to the Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB) and contains further members including charities, colleges, district councils and Nottinghamshire County Council.

The Partnership meet with the NSAB twice a year to check the Board's progress, provide support and guidance to the Board, and to raise awareness of key issues relating to safeguarding.

Partnership members have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of safeguarding adults in Nottinghamshire.
